Last updated: May 10, 2026. Plain-language summary of what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

The Short Version

Draftasy.com ("Draftasy", "we", "us") is a fantasy sports affiliate website. We collect the bare minimum needed to run the site, send our newsletter, and understand what content readers find useful. We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We do use third-party services (analytics, email, affiliate networks) that have their own privacy policies, summarized below.

If you have any question about this policy or want to exercise your rights, email hello@draftasy.com.

Information We Collect

We collect two kinds of information: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically when you visit the site.

Information You Provide

  • Email and first name when you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Messages you send us (e.g. emails to hello@draftasy.com).

Information Collected Automatically

  • Server logs — IP address, browser type, operating system, the page you requested, and the time of the request. Used for security and basic analytics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — small files stored on your device. We use cookies to remember preferences, measure traffic, and pass affiliate referral information to partner platforms.
  • Approximate location — derived from IP address. We do not collect precise GPS or device-level location.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your fantasy account credentials, deposits, or contest results from any partner platform. Once you click an affiliate link and leave Draftasy, the platform's own privacy policy applies.

How We Use Your Information

  • To send you the newsletter you signed up for, and only that newsletter.
  • To respond to messages you send us.
  • To understand which articles and reviews are useful so we can improve the site.
  • To detect abuse, fraud, or attempts to break the site.
  • To pass affiliate referral codes to partner platforms when you click an affiliate link.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information for anything else. We do not sell it. We do not share it with advertisers.

Cookies

We use cookies in three categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to function. You can't opt out of these without breaking parts of the site.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand which pages are read and where readers come from. We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider that does not build cross-site profiles.
  • Affiliate-tracking cookies — set when you click a link to a partner platform (DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog Fantasy, PrizePicks). These tell the partner we referred you so we can earn a commission if you sign up. They are dropped by the partner network, not by Draftasy directly.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Doing so will not break Draftasy, but may prevent partner platforms from crediting your signup to us — which only affects our commission, not your experience.

Third-Party Services We Use

We use a small number of carefully selected third parties:

  • Email service provider — for delivering the newsletter. Your email and first name are stored with this provider. You can unsubscribe from any email we send.
  • Analytics provider — for measuring page views and traffic sources. We do not use Google Analytics' demographic or remarketing features.
  • Hosting provider — runs the server that delivers this site. They have access to standard server logs (IP addresses and request data).
  • Affiliate networks — DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog Fantasy, and PrizePicks each operate their own affiliate tracking. When you click one of our links, your browser visits their tracking domain before being redirected to the platform.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes on our behalf.

How Long We Keep Information

  • Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe, or until your address bounces. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
  • Server logs — kept for up to 90 days, then deleted, except where a longer retention is required for security investigation or legal compliance.
  • Analytics data — aggregated and stripped of identifying detail. We do not retain individual session data beyond what our analytics provider's defaults allow.
  • Email correspondence — retained as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward (typically 1 year).

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your information ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither).
  • Receive a portable copy of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@draftasy.com from the address you used to subscribe. We will respond within 30 days.

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act. These rights are summarized above. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

EU and UK Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EU or UK, our legal basis for processing your information is your consent (when you subscribe to the newsletter), our legitimate interest in operating the site (for analytics and security), and contractual necessity (for affiliate referral tracking when you click a link). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children's Privacy

Draftasy is intended for adults. Daily fantasy sports contests require participants to be 18+ in most U.S. states (21+ in some). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has subscribed to our newsletter, contact hello@draftasy.com and we will delete the information promptly.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold — encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to the systems that hold subscriber data, and routine security maintenance. No system is perfectly secure, but the only sensitive information we hold is email addresses, and we treat them accordingly.

International Transfers

Our servers and third-party providers may be located in the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards where required by law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
